Corporal Kevin Dubois from Lincoln, RI is a 24-year-old Marine. He was on his second deployment in Afghanistan when in July of 2011 he was severely injured assisting a fellow wounded Marine.
Kevin and his wife Kayla were married in March just before his deployment. Due to lack of time they were never able to have a wedding shower, a honey moon, or set up their house together. They had planned to move back to his base, 29 Palms in CA when he returned. Kevin will require a lot of adaptive equipment and home modifications to ensure that he and Kayla can live a functional life together.
Kevin is currently undergoing rehab and physical therapy at Balboa in San Diego, CA. He sustained multiple injuries that required countless surgeries and rehabilitation. Kevin has a long recovery ahead of him and the love and support from both family, friends, and his community is much needed.
